Who runs the tours?
Every tour is led by a retired Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officer with decades of real street experience. These aren't actors or re-enactors — they're the people who actually worked the cases.
How long is each tour?
Tours run 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the route. The Downtown / Near North tour is the longest at roughly 2 hours. Southside, Westside, and Eastside tours are each about 1.5 hours.
Is this a bus tour or a walking tour?
All tours are guided bus tours. You'll be comfortable and climate-controlled throughout, with stops at key locations along each route.
How do I book a tour?
All tours are by appointment only, for private groups. Fill out the booking request form with your preferred dates, group size, and route. Your retired IMPD guide will confirm availability and send next steps.
What's the group size?
Tours are designed for private groups. The standard group is 10 paying guests. Larger groups can be arranged on request — just let us know in your booking.
Do you have a group organizer promotion?
Yes. Organize a group of 10 paying guests and you (and your spouse or partner) ride free. It's our way of thanking the people who make the tour happen.
Are the tours appropriate for all ages?
Tours cover real criminal cases, including violent crimes. We recommend the tours for adults and older teens. Parental discretion is advised for younger riders.
Where do tours start and end?
Pickup and drop-off locations are arranged when you book. Most tours meet at a convenient central location; your guide will confirm the exact address in the booking email.
Do you run tours year-round?
Tours run year-round, weather permitting. Central Indiana weather can be unpredictable — your guide will reach out if conditions require rescheduling.
Can I book a custom or private tour?
Absolutely. Private events, corporate outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and custom routes are all welcome. Mention what you're looking for in the booking form and we'll work with you on the details.
